Encodes/decodes standard blue-boxed images of consistent cell size.
WHAT IT DOESN'T DO:
It won't decode the purple-boxed images, images censored with blurring, or black boxes. Some blue-boxed images have a varying cell size throughout. Can't help ya there.
HOW TO INSTALL:
Place the module file in the PhotoShop plug-ins folder.
HOW TO USE:
Run PhotoShop, select the image you wish to encode/decode. Next, select Blue box… from the Distort submenu of the Filter menu to bring up the options dialog box.
Set the cell size and whether or not you want the image inverted, then click OK or press return and voila! The image you've been dying to see all of appears.
NOTE: Sometimes the colours come out funny afterward. That is because during the blue boxing process, the pixels with extreme values get wrapped around, hence the patches of weird colours that sometimes occur. The only way to fix this is manually. In PhotoShop, use the wand tool with zero tolerance and no antialiasing to select one of the gimped pixels. Choose Similar from the Select menu, which selects all the gimped pixels, and possibly other pixels as well. Use masking to remove the extraneous selection bits, and invert the what's left and the proper image should appear. If the image is in RGB mode you'll have to repeat for each channel.
